I’m María Madrid, a NAATI Certified English–Spanish Translator based in Perth, WA.

I hold a Bachelor’s in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Málaga and a Master’s in International Relations from the Institut d’Estudis Internacionals Barcelona.

My career has been built at the intersection of language, culture, and communication. Before founding Uprooted Translations, I worked in international cooperation and communications, coordinating multilingual projects and creating content for NGOs focused on education, gender equality, and development.

Today, I specialize in English ↔ Spanish translations for individuals and organizations working across borders. My goal is to deliver clear, accurate, and culturally sensitive translations.
